The Range can now reopen under the new lockdown restrictions.

We will be maintaining a limited opening procedure to comply with Covid-19 Social distancing rules and Slots can be booked via the form link at the bottom of this page

The range will open on Club days for a prebooked limited time only

Under the easing of restrictions the range will still only be open to a limited number of shooters who can request a time slot using the booking form below.  2 metre social distancing measures will still be required so no more than 5 shooters will be allowed on the firing point at any time.  2 range officers will oversee safety procedures.  Please follow their instructions at all times

Booking Procedure

Use the form below to request a time slot. Shooting will be limited to one hour slots, 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. You can request your preferred session but your time slot will be allocated depending upon demand and you will be notified via Email of your particular time slot. Also on the booking form you will be asked to specify your firearm type. The use of multiple firearms during your session will be permitted preferably if you can carry them all in one trip (to help reduce the need for multiple trips back and forth to your car). Appropriate targetry will still be prepared for you (if you have any special target requirements please let the Ros know in advance).

Arrival and Finishing Procedures

As we are now able to allow more members on to the range, whilst maintaining a minimum of two metres from each other, members will be able to arrive and wait for there allocated firing slot providing we do not exceed a maximum of 15 people at any time, so please try to arrive close to your booked slot and await the CROs instructions to move forward to a space.  A mat and target will be set up ready for you. Allocation of space on the firing line will be at the discretion of the CRO dependant on your booked position and other shooters in your session.  If the CRO deems the range to be becoming too crowded he may ask for some members to leave or wait in the carpark.  We know that Socialising with your fellow shooters is important to you, so these measures will only be invoked if the CRO believes it to be in the safety interests of you or other shooters.

Shooting Procedure

You will have one hour to enjoy your shooting overseen by a range officer as usual. Pre prepared targets suitable for your designated firearm will be in place and should a reface be necessary during your session the guns will be cleared as usual and the RO only will go forward to patch or reface. If you have any particular target requirements please indicate this on the form when booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.  If you complete your desired shooting within your allocated hour indicate this to the CRO who may allocate another shooter to the remainder of your slot.

Hopefully these measures will herald a return to normality whilst still helping to ensure your safety and allow us to enjoy our shooting and the social part of our sport during these difficult times.  Thank you for your cooperation.  Stay Safe.
